Water
Low to moderate watering. Allow at least the top half of the compost to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly, then let excess water drain away. Reduce watering significantly during winter.
Soil
Free-draining houseplant compost with added grit, sand, or perlite. A cactus or succulent compost also works well.
Repot
Repot every 2â3 years in spring or when rootbound. Move up one pot size only. Mature Yuccas are happy to remain slightly pot-bound.

Place your Yucca in the brightest spot you have. Plenty of sunlight encourages strong, sturdy growth and keeps the trunk healthy. Rotate the pot occasionally so it grows evenly.

Most people damage this plant by overwatering. Yuccas cope far better with dry compost than constantly wet roots.
