Description
Curio radicans (formerly Senecio radicans*)*, commonly known as the String of Bananas, is a fast-growing trailing succulent with curved, banana-shaped leaves cascading from long stems. Easy to care for and perfect for hanging baskets or high shelves, it adds a playful, tropical look to bright indoor spaces while requiring very little maintenance.

LIGHT

WATER
Low watering. Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during winter.
SOIL
Very free-draining cactus or succulent compost with added grit or perlite to prevent moisture retention.
REPOT
Repot every 2â3 years or when rootbound. Move up one pot size only. Handle gently, as the trailing stems can be delicate.

Place it somewhere bright where the trailing stems can cascade naturally. Pinch back the growing tips occasionally to encourage a fuller, bushier plant, and use stem cuttings to grow new plants with ease.

PLANT FACT
Each curved leaf has a small translucent "window" that helps light reach the inside of the leaf, allowing the plant to photosynthesise more efficiently while conserving water.
