Description
Sedum morganianum ‘Burrito’, commonly known as Burro’s Tail or Burrito Sedum, is a trailing succulent with plump, rounded blue-green leaves packed tightly along cascading stems. Its distinctive foliage and long trailing growth make it ideal for hanging pots, shelves and bright windowsills where the stems can hang freely.

WATER
Low watering. Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. Water thoroughly and allow all excess water to drain away. Reduce watering considerably during winter.
SOIL
Very free-draining cactus and succulent compost with added perlite, pumice or grit. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.
REPOT
Repot every 2–3 years in spring or when noticeably rootbound. Handle carefully when repotting, as the fleshy leaves detach very easily from the stems.

JOE'S TOP TIP
Give your Burrito Sedum plenty of bright light to encourage compact, healthy growth. Some gentle direct sunlight is beneficial, but introduce stronger sunlight gradually. Place it somewhere it won't need to be moved frequently, as the leaves can easily fall when knocked or handled.
COMMON MISTAKE
Overwatering. The thick leaves store water, so this plant needs considerably less frequent watering than most tropical houseplants. Constantly damp compost can quickly cause root and stem rot.

PLANT FACT
