Tough, drought tolerant, and exceptionally easy to care for, it's ideal for modern interiors, desks, shelves, and anyone looking for a stylish plant that thrives on minimal attention.

WATER
Low watering. Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during winter. This plant stores water in its thick leaves and prefers dry conditions.
SOIL
Very free-draining cactus or succulent compost with added grit or perlite to prevent excess moisture around the roots.
REPOT
Repot every 2–3 years in spring or when rootbound. Move up one pot size only. Snake Plants prefer to be slightly pot-bound.

JOE'S TOP TIP
Bright, indirect light encourages the strongest, most compact growth, but this plant will happily tolerate lower light levels. When in doubt, wait a few more days before watering.
COMMON MISTAKE
Most people damage this plant by overwatering. Constantly wet compost quickly leads to root rot.
WHEN TO COME BACK TO US
Bring it back (or a photo) in 8–12 weeks if you want: • Repotting advice • A health check • Help dividing or propagating your plant
