Low watering. Allow the compost to dry out completely between waterings. Water sparingly, especially during winter. This plant stores water in its thick leaves and copes much better with drought than overwatering.
Soil
Very free-draining cactus or succulent compost with added grit or perlite to prevent excess moisture around the roots.
Repot
Repot every 2â3 years in spring or when rootbound. Move up one pot size only. Snake Plants prefer being slightly pot-bound.

đĄ Joe's Top Tip
The braided stems are created by growers while the leaves are young. New growth will emerge naturally rather than continuing the braid, so don't be surprised when fresh spears appear from the base.
â ïž Common Mistake
Most people damage this plant by overwatering. Constantly wet compost quickly leads to root rot.
