WATER
Moderate watering. Water regularly while establishing and during prolonged dry spells. Container-grown plants will need more frequent watering in warm weather.

Free-draining, fertile soil or a good-quality loam-based compost. Avoid heavy, waterlogged ground.
REPOT
If grown in containers, repot every 3–4 years in spring. Agapanthus flowers best when slightly root-bound, so only increase the pot size when necessary.

Feed with a high-potash fertiliser during late spring and summer to encourage plenty of flowers. Remove spent flower stems to keep the plant looking tidy.
